“It wasn't until the process that I realized how much it really involves. Guidance is not a luxury, but a necessity.”
Sales process support for B+K Alusystems and B+K Alumontage

After almost thirty years of entrepreneurship, Bert Egberts, founder of B+K Alusystems and B+K Alumontage (BKalu), decided it was time to take the next step. Without internal business succession and with the desire to have everything properly arranged before the age of sixty, he wanted to find a party in good time that would continue his business with the same care and vision.
Raeth accompanied him throughout the entire process: from orientation to transfer.
The challenge
BKalu was not looking for a maximum price, but a sustainable future. A party that would continue its familial character, craftsmanship and long-term strategy. “For me, it was particularly important that my child was left well cared for. It's an emotional decision, certainly not just a business one,” says Bert. For him, continuity for customers, suppliers and, in particular, his employees was also essential. And what's more: a buyer with whom it also had to click personally.
Our role
We supervised the entire sales process:
- Inventory of wishes, scenarios and business goals.
- Determining the ideal buyer profile.
- Analysis of strategic and industrial candidates
- The process towards the preferred candidate, the TUHO Group.
- Full coordination of the due diligence process.
- Coordination of all financial, legal and commercial steps towards closing.
We worked closely with the entrepreneur and acted as a strategic advisor, process manager and substantive sparring partner.

The process
All the discussions and market explorations revealed one dream candidate: the TUHO Group. A growing industrial family business including Compri Aluminium, CoATR and Compri Logistics. The click between Bert and Nick Lenders proved to be decisive.
This was followed by a careful, intensive process. Bert explains: “At first, I doubted whether I needed guidance. I thought it would be over with the transfer of two financial statements and a company visit. But along the way, I was amazed at how much it actually involved.”
The due diligence process, in particular, impressed: “I found that quite complex and did not expect it to be so extensive. Hiring a specialist in this field seems expensive, but at the end of the process, I understood why. They are worth everything. It is really crucial that you have a party like Raeth on your side as a good advisor. As an entrepreneur, you can't just do this on the side yourself.”

The result
The takeover by the TUHO Group has been successfully completed. BKalu joins a strong, industrial collective that focuses on continuity and craftsmanship. Over the next three years, Bert will remain involved in an advisory role to carefully safeguard the transfer and allow the organization to grow further within TUHO. He looks back with pride and serenity: “Raeth really took care of me. This allowed me to fully focus on the relationship with the buyer, which led to a good process and a nice transaction.”
