“It was only during the process that I realised how much is really involved. Guidance isn't a luxury, but a necessity.”
Advisory on the sale of B+K Alusystems and B+K Alumontage

After nearly thirty years of entrepreneurship, Bert Egberts, founder of B+K Alusystemen and B+K Alumontage (BKAlu), decided it was time for the next step. Without an internal succession in place and the desire to have everything well arranged before turning sixty, he wanted to begin the search early for a party that could continue his company with the same care and vision.
Raeth supported him throughout the entire process, from initial orientation through to the final transfer.
The challenge
BKAlu was not looking for the highest possible price, but for a sustainable future. A buyer that would continue the company’s family-oriented culture, craftsmanship and long-term strategy. “It was especially important to me that my ‘baby’ would be left in good hands. It’s an emotional decision, not just a business one,” Bert explains. For him, continuity for customers, suppliers and especially his employees was essential. And just as important: a buyer with whom there was a strong personal connection.
Our role
We guided the entire sales process:
- Identifying the entrepreneur’s objectives, scenarios and priorities
- Defining the ideal buyer profile
- Analysing strategic and industrial candidates
- Managing the process towards the preferred buyer, the TUHO Group
- Coordinating the full due diligence process
- Aligning all financial, legal and commercial steps leading up to closing
Throughout the process, we worked closely with the entrepreneur, acting as strategic advisor, process lead and sparring partner.

The process
From all conversations and market exploration, one ideal candidate emerged: the TUHO Group. A growing industrial family business that includes Compri Aluminium, CoatR and Compri Logistics. The connection between Bert and Nick Lenders proved to be decisive.
What followed was a careful and intensive process. Bert explains: “At first, I doubted whether I really needed guidance. I thought transferring two years of financial statements and arranging a company visit would be enough. But as the process progressed, I was surprised by how much was actually involved.”
The due diligence process in particular left a strong impression: “I found that quite complex and hadn’t expected it to be so extensive. Hiring a specialist in this area may seem expensive, but by the end of the process I understood why. They are more than worth it. It is truly crucial to have a party like Raeth by your side as a trusted advisor. As an entrepreneur, this is not something you can simply take on yourself.”

The result
The acquisition by the TUHO Group has been successfully completed. BKAlu will become part of a strong industrial group where continuity and craftsmanship remain central. Bert will remain involved for the next three years in an advisory role to ensure a careful transition and support the continued growth of the organisation within TUHO. Looking back, he does so with pride and peace of mind: “Raeth truly took the burden off my shoulders. That allowed me to focus entirely on the relationship with the buyer, which resulted in a smooth process and a great transaction.”
